from NME: (http://www.nme.com/news/the-clash/48156)

"The Clash have announced that they are re-releasing their classic album 'London Calling'.

Hitting shelves on December 14, the '30th Anniversary Legacy Edition' comes 5 years after the '25th Anniversary Edition' of the album was released.

Full details on how the releases will differ are yet to be confirmed, but a CD/DVD package is expected.

Meanwhile The Clash's Mick Jones and Topper Headon have been back in the studio after 27 years. The pair came together last month to record a chairty version of their 1979 song 'Jail Guitar Doors'. "

exciting! I wonder what the dvd will include...

Even if Sony had the Sussex video, it wouldn't be appropriate since it's from '77, not from around the time LC was released. Previously unseen video of the Lewisham show from '80 (16 Tons Tour) shot by Don Letts would make more sense, but I don't know if more of that footage exists.

I was hoping for a 20th anniversary Earthquake Weather this year but alas twas not to be. Maybe there'll be a 30th anniversary reissue of Sandanista next year though I don't think bonus tracks are really needed.

and now its....

The Set includes a CD (original album) + DVD in vinyl replica packaging complete with 'liner bags' and 20 page book. DVD includes Don Letts-produced documentary 'The Last Testament: The Making Of London Calling' featuring interviews with Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon plus promo videos and footage of The Clash recording London Calling at Wessex Studios.

according to this.......

hm....this dvd feature was already included in the 25th anniversary edition! and there was a booklet too ...
i'll probably skip this one and wait for the 35th anniversary superspecial edition. after 10 years i might have forgot about the other.

Think I'll save my dosh and get "Shatter the Hotel" instead. Won't be buying commemorative Converse trainers (or sneakers to the American community) either.

well, it does say: "This is a re-work of 25th Anniversary Edition which is no longer available to order."

so, new fans, or people that never got hold of the 25th Anniversary Edition, could buy this.
I don´t think I will, since I got the first one.
